The World's largest tree, Pirangi do Norte.
An 8400(!) square meter cashew nut tree, the largest tree in the world according to the Guiness Book of Records. Due to some genetic fault it springs roots wherever it touches the ground and keeps on growing. It would be even bigger if it wasn't stopped in its tracks by the largest amount of tree-souvenir selling shops in the world.

A five centimeter thick concrete platform built 50 years ago is all that protects the fishermen from a 20 stories drop into the ocean. I only saw that it was so thin when I got off..
